All members of the community are encouraged to work to the best of their abilities, to realise their potential and to strive for excellence in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.<br \/>\nThe courses studied in Stage 5 build upon the knowledge and skills developed in Stage 4. All students study a broad range as approved by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Learning and Teaching\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/imglib\/7095-6284D8B2\/012155_fcda.jpg\" alt=\"Learning and Teaching\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>These courses include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Religious Education<\/li>\n<li>English<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Science<\/li>\n<li>PDHPE<\/li>\n<li>Australian History and Geography<\/li>\n<li>as well as three electives chosen by the student<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The current electives offered are:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>History<\/li>\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n<li>Commerce<\/li>\n<li>Information and Software Technology<\/li>\n<li>Design &amp; Technology<\/li>\n<li>Music<\/li>\n<li>Drama<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Technology \u2013 Wood<\/li>\n<li>Visual Arts<\/li>\n<li>Chinese<\/li>\n<li>French<\/li>\n<li>Physical Activity and Sports Studies<\/li>\n<li>iSTEM<\/li>\n<li>Applied Philosophy<\/li>\n<li>Language and Literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Years 9 &amp; 10 Mathematics, English, and Science there are specific classes for both higher and lower ability students.<\/p>\n<p>Students may also elect to study a language not offered at the College either through Saturday School or by correspondence through the Open High School. Correspondence courses carry an extra fee paid to an external body.<\/p>\n<h3>Year 10 students are also involved in:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A Community Involvement Program (CIP)<\/li>\n<li>A program of Reflection Days<\/li>\n<li>Australian Business Week (ABW)<\/li>\n<li>Peer Support training<\/li>\n<li>Other enrichment activities that vary from year to year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All students complete NESA&#8217;s <em>All My Own Work<\/em> program during the year in preparation for their Year 11 studies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>小蓝视频 teaching programs aim to foster critical and creative thinking.
